Letter From Mom Reflection

JOURNAL ENTRY #1: REFLECTIONS ON PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS

The piece is all about a letter from a mother to her child. She said there how much she loves her daughter and explained things that her child might misunderstand for she is just about to start her life. She is also concerned about how her child will react to things that are not in line with what she is expecting for she loves her child a lot and can't handle the pain if her child is hurt. The mother emphasized that she is not just a friend to her but someone that understands her no matter what happens.
As I was reading the text, my heart suddenly skipped a beat. I just realized a lot of things. I can feel the mother's love for her child because of the way she acts, it is also how my mother acts. I can't say that I am a good daughter because sometimes, I can answer my mom with an angry and loud voice every time I am pissed but God knows how much I love her. Maybe I am not that expressive through words but through actions, I can make my mom feel that she's special. According to John chapter one verse 3 of 18, God said let us not express our love through words but indeed, through actions.
I admit that sometimes I am too selfish and not sensitive enough to know what my mom might feel if I do this and do that. But my mother is still at my side during my ups and downs and loves me without any condition. She loves me because I am her daughter. And I love her because she is my mother. No one can beat his care and love for me. Not even my future husband, for she loves me the way God loves all of us. My mother will always be my number one fan and my best partner in life.

Position Paper: TOTAL BANNING OF CONTRACTUALIZATION IN THE PHILIPPINES

TOTAL BANNING OF CONTRACTUALIZATION IN THE PHILIPPINES "Without contractualization, companies would be forced to make all employees regular which is not practical and would kill the business." (Taus, 2016). As one of the promises President Duterte uttered during his presidential campaign, banning contractualization is one of the most controversial labor practices in the Philippines and the most talked about issue among employees across the country. With all the pleads and rants of the workers about this issue, total banning and prohibition of contractualization must not be implemented. Despite the benefits they can get, removing contractualization would entail a lot of cost in having all the employees regularized. This will also stifle employment growth and it will create various repercussions not just for the business but also for the Philippine economy as a whole. While contractualization is a disadvantage to the employees, it is an advantage to the employers and...
